Pitt business and computer science jumped in U.S. News & World … – University of Pittsburgh

The numbers are in: The University of Pittsburgh rose across several categories in the 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, including in undergraduate computer science and business programs.
The largest ranking increase came in the undergraduate business category, where Pitt’s College of Business Administration jumped from No. 49 to No. 34 in a single year, while the School of Computing and Information’s undergraduate computer science program rose six spots to No. 54.
For the first time, the University’s undergraduate research ranked at No. 39. Overall, Pitt ranked No. 23 for public universities and No. 62 among all U.S. universities.
Other highly ranked undergraduate programs include engineering (No. 54 among universities with doctoral programs), undergraduate biomedical engineering (No. 25) and nursing (No. 15), as well as rating among the best universities for veterans (No. 34.)
The U.S. News & World Report evaluates more than 1,450 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality. This year’s ranking factors and weights are unchanged from last year’s edition.
