A man and woman may have gotten too adventurous in where they chose to get it on.
Four witnesses told police they saw a couple having sexual intercourse on the Giant Wheel at the Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio. The witnesses included two juveniles who were in gondola cart just below the couple.
Witnesses said they could feel the cart shaking and that they saw the couple expose themselves.
The ride, which reaches 145 feet, was stopped at 10pm on Sunday.
A police sergeant and security officials confronted David Davis and Heather Johnston according to a police report obtained by WBNS. The Sandusky Police Department was then called to the scene.
The couple at first denied the allegations. Johnston, 32, of Dayton, reportedly told cops that she was wearing shorts under her dress and dropped a cigarette pack. She said David, 24, from Florida, was helping her to pick it back up.
However, the two later soon admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse.
Davis and Johnston were arrested and taken to the Erie County Police Department.
They have each been charged with a first-degree misdemeanor because they engaged in their activity in front of minors. They appeared at Sandusky Municipal Court on Monday.
The amusement park is located in Sandusky, about 60 miles west of Cleveland. It has 70 rides, including the family-friendly Snake River Expedition and rollercoasters like Steel Vengeance. The giant Ferris wheel offers a bird’s eye view of the park.
‘Cedar Point is more than roller coasters. It’s more than thrill rides. It’s more than the mile-long sandy beach where our rich history began. Cedar Point is where moments, memories and connections are made,’ the park’s website states.
‘These connections last for generations and are built on tradition – traditions that began more than 150 years ago.’
